Snacks are a crucial part of hosting friends over for a movie marathon. Since Mami of Puella Magi Madoka Magica always had tea and cake, I made brownies out of cake mix and brewed tea that sparkles.
Anyone who knows me know that I value making comfort food that works for you. Some people are comforted by health food. I like to take a break from health food and bust out the bacon, spaghetti, clams, and–wait, what?
As usual, before coming back to campus, I go on a massive shopping spree with my parents. By “shopping,” I mean grocery. I picked up a Cornish hen from Westside Market because why not? I had apples, so I decided to stuff it and this is what happened. My friend, Zac, also came over to watch American Horror Story: Coven.
Welcome to my WordPress blog, everyone! I decided to move from blogger because I wasn’t sure exactly what I wanted this blog to be, considering it fell horribly by the wayside a few months ago due to school work and other aspects of life that keep one busy (extracurriculars, a relationship, friendships, etc.). But I’m back and ready to start again. Now that finals are over, summer is in full swing, and I finally worked out time management with my current internship, I can fully commit to making food and blogging about it (not that I usually don’t make food; I just usually throw things together and hope the dish is not gross). This first entry is about one of the best things made during my spring break: gluten-free cinnamon pork buns.
